I'm now up to  100 followers, thank you so much for following me and regularly reading my offerings. I do really appreciate every comment that I get.
Shhhh! don't tell the Oh! Bearded One but I've been shopping! - mainly by walking my fingers over the laptop keyboard.
stitch markers for my knitting.

12 Civil War FQs from Quilter's Trading Post.

I've wanted 'Civil War Sampler' since it came out. I've done about 45 of these blocks from Brabara Brackman's BOW and I want to make a few more to make my quilt the size I want it. The book is a great reminder of spending 2011 making those blocks and will be a great adjunct to the quilt when it is finished ('when' being the operative word). I fancied the other book until I saw how complicated the blocks are. I need to become much more advanced before I attempt the blocks.

Sock wool from Esty shops

This sock wool was 3for2 from Hobbycraft, this was far too good to pass up on.
Tomorrow J & I are going to Chester - more shopping!!! I want to look at clothes for work and we will just have to go to Liberty Bell!

These are my offerings for the Block a Day Challenge from 1st of Feb to 15th of Feb.

This is what I'm making, I have shown these before - 9 patch blocks!

This week I've made a sewing machine cover for when the machine is sat on the table, to stop it getting so dusty.

I've put elastic on the sides to keep it in place.

On one side I've put velcro on one side so the elasticated bit goes under the wires so that so I don't have to keep unplugging them.

Snow in our back garden on Wednesday, not much to write home about but this is the Cheshire plain after all!

Meg's bum! She has this bed on the landing, outside the Oh! Bearded One's office. She uses it when he is working in there. Recently she has taken to laying underneath it rather than on top of it.

This is Meg's crate downstairs in the conservatory. Molly loves it and is often found asleep in it. Meg stands outside and whines at her - Molly rules with an iron paw!

Some sewing!

My Moda Etchings 9 patch blocks complete and sewn together

I've started quilting it and am about half way through

On this quilt I've used a basting gun. This is the first time I've used one of these. I love it. I know  not everyone likes them but I have found it so much easier than using pins. Also removing the tags afterwards (using scissors & tweezers) is like removing stitchs from a wound - that's the sad nursey bit in me!!!

The backing!

I've also joined the 'Scrappy trips around the world' craze too! I'm using jelly rolls, a full Blessings and part of a Peace on Earth one - 3 blocks complete and all the strips prepared for sewing.

at where I'm going to be working now!!! A Grade 2 listed mansion house build by Lord Crewe! It is now a 42 bedded care home with nursing and I am going to be the Care Home Manager, it is a far cry from the home I was working in.
Watch this space!
